Caroline Brooks DuBois

Caroline Brooks DuBois, author, poet, and educator, has been recognized as a Blue Ribbon Teacher and a Teacher of the Year. The Places We Sleep, an NCTE Notable Book in Poetry and A Bank Street Best Children’s Book of the Year, is her debut middle-grade novel. It received a Starred Review from School Library Journal. Her second middle-grade verse novel, Ode to a Nobody, is set in the backdrop of the 2020 Nashville tornados and received Starred Reviews from Publishers Weekly and School Library Journal. DuBois is the Director of the Literary Arts Conservatory at Nashville School of the Arts. She enjoys visiting schools, conducting book groups, providing writing workshops and professional development, and engaging with readers of all ages.
