Lisa Varchol Perron
Lisa Varchol Perron is a children’s author and poet who enjoys talking about books almost as much as reading and writing them. Lisa’s debut picture book, the photo-illustrated Patterns Everywhere, received a starred review from the School Library Journal, and her debut board book, My Love for You (illus. by Sheryl Murray), was named an Amazon editors’ pick for best children’s books of the year. Her forthcoming releases include the nonfiction Tell Me About Space and Tell Me About Oceans (both illus. by Jennifer Falkner), All the Rocks We Love (coauthored with geologist Taylor Perron and illus. by David Scheirer), and Wonder Why (illus. by Nik Henderson). Lisa’s poetry has been featured in numerous anthologies, journals, and magazines, and she received the 2021 Boston Authors Club Discovery Award for picture book authors.
Lisa is also a licensed psychotherapist. She earned her MA in Humanities from New York University and her MSW from the University of California, Berkeley with a concentration in Children, Youth, & Families. Lisa’s school and library visits are designed to match the developmental needs of her audience. Lisa lives with her family just north of Boston, Massachusetts, and she is available for travel. To find out more about Lisa and her books, visit https://lisaperronbooks.com/
